V.A. ban

Silent E reminds me about the V.A.'s banning of specific blogs. I guess I made the list too. It's not that the Gov. wants the workers to stop reading blogs, otherwise they just would have banned the reading of blogs, it's that the Gov doesn't want the workers commenting on said blogs. Dang, another source down! Well, actually I think they want potential sources down, humm, I wonder what changes are headed down the pike at the ol V.A...

Scooter scoots, Folkbum freaks

Folkbum's got his feathers ruffled over Bush's amnesty for Scooter. Yea, I suppose Bush could have waited until the last hours of his presidency like a chickensh## and released the freaks and moneybags than. Oh well.

"Once upon a salary..."

The Taxpayers League has a cool "short" covering the teachers pay increases, and the craziness of it all. Don't forget the popcorn!

Urkel flexes his Socialist muscles.

Darryl E tells us that Curt Otto of "Maple & Main" may soon be appointed by Mayor Urkel to replace Mike Crowley on the Plan Commission. What's wrong Urkel, can't take a little heat? Can't stand a little confrontation? Can't deal with a little "heck", as young Mr E puts it? So much for the willingness to hear dissenting opinions huh? Well, Urkel will hear them, it seems he just won't put up with them - typical Socialist. Regardless, good luck to Mr. Otto, (cool blog).

Como's dutiful pitch

I don't blame Joe Como for the pabulum in today's Freeman. After all, he was only doing what he was told. The editorial is just another piece of the Waukesha school boards game plan for the upcoming referendum. If you missed it, the start of this funding war was the teachers scaring the students with a "cut list", than tossing out the "R" word as a "possibility". Now comes the "this time it really is for the kids" shpeel (you've played your part well Mr. Como). Soon to appear, "teachers just can't survive with any less" boo hoo. This is why I have to stick by my last "dispatch". The school board has this one figured from start to finish. But keep in mind, battles never go as planned. What needs to happen is the focus needs to be moved from "the children", to the teachers union. If this happens, an uphill battle, we may win this one.

New Berlin Mud

I don’t pay much attention to politics (or much else) outside of Waukesha. Heck, I barely pay attention to Waukesha politics. But I feel a need to chime in on this Richter – Thomas – Gallagher feud in New Berlin. Matt should expect trash to be brought up. Gallagher should grow up, and Richter should just admit to being a dirty politics kind of guy. The meanness of this election (school board) shows just how important the participants believe it to be. And I still say Thomas is the best man for the job.

Our Hero......?

How about this you morons, (Republican Party), how about instead of handing out awards and slapping each other on the back, you get out there and attack the Democratic policies. Instead of singing the praises of King Kramer, put him out there with a list of Democratic budget items for us to shoot down. Geez, you people think one small victory wins the war, congratulate yourselfs after the vote.

Flash in the pan

One of three things can happen when you get a “flash in the pan”.
- One, it flashes, it goes away, and you forget about it.
-Two, it flashes, a fire starts in the pan, you smother it with the lid, you talk about it for a little while, than you forget about it.
- Three, it flashes, a fire starts, the fire gets out of control, and all hell breaks loose.
Let’s hope for Wisconsin’s sake that option three is what happens for Bill Kramer and his “flash” in Doyle’s pan. My advice to Kramer, ATTACK ATTACK ATTACK! Attack the Dems, they are weaker than they appear, and attack the “good ol boy” Republicans as they try to smother your fire. DO NOT ALLOW THE FIRE TO GO OUT! You can either bask in the glory for the next 2 days, or you can take advantage of the opening to actually start a fire in the Republican Party. Don't wait for "permision". The Republicans don't know how to win, they think you have to "play nice" to get anywhere. (FOOLS). Right now, I see a real opportunity for active leadership change in Madison. And that type of change doesn’t happen by “playing nice”. Kramer can either allow himself to be forgotten in a few days, or use this “flash” in Doyle's pan to make a change not only in Madison, but in the Republican Party itself.

O-M-G Shut up and vote allready!

And here's the double edged sword....now that they know their being broadcast, will they ever just shut up and vote? From here on out, how many votes will be decided long before the meeting (as if that's not going on already), and how much discussion will be replaced by grandstanding? Oh well, turn on the radio kids, the shows on.

No more hiding - BOO YAH!!!

With the county board now on-line, there can be no more hiding by either side. Tonight's vote (discussion is happening right now) on Harandas "efficiency" front, clearly shows just who is "Conservative" and who ain't. Now these people will have to talk the talk during their "term", not just supposedly walk the walk during "door to door" at election time. I for one applaud the hook up. Now we can hear who's "Republican" during their term, and not just during elections.

A dispach from the War On Taxes battle front.

This, from the Tax Slayers hands, to you. (My first "bleg" - sort of)

"There are two meetings this week that would be really helpful if any of you could show up for a little while.

Tonight: City Hall, 7:00 p.m. Council Chambers-Water issues

Tomorrow Night: County Board Meeting: 7:00 p.m. Board Room Committee set up for downsized board. The Executive committee isn't listening to us peons that pay the bill."

Some hot points from a letter being given to all board members concerning tomorrows executive committee meeting:

"To date, Chairman Dwyer and the Executive Committee have refused to allow the voice of the county’s citizens to be heard by the full board, and we are now asking that each individual supervisor use their position to bring these matters before the board as a whole.

Additionally, it has been brought to our attention that at the next board meeting, Supervisor Harenda will be introducing three amendments; to maintain the current Waukesha County Code that each supervisor must serve on one standing committee; to reduce the standing committees from 7 to 5 people; and to merge Park and Land Use with Public Works."
Here's my question, will we be able to check the vote after all is said and done, and see just who can still claim the title "conservative", and who will proudly wear the moniker "Rino"?

Doyle - I mean Dwyer appoints "lefty" to supposedly "Right" board.

Spring City lets us know that "Smokin Joe" Vitale gets appointed to the county boards 24th seat. Well, so much for a "Conservative" board representing a "Conservative" county. Oh wait, don't tell me, let me guess, Smokin Joe's not a Socialist, he's a non-partisan. Hay Board members, if you want Smokin Joe's support for any increase in spending, just label it a caring, concerned, fair expenditure.

Lufter's letter

Fox Heads got Lufter's complete letter posted for those of you unlucky enough to only have access to the Journal. Good thing I didn't attempt it, could you imagine the butcher job I would have done with the spelling? Yeesh.

"Equal time"?

Page 2 of today’s upcoming parent teacher conference announcement sent home with one of our kids is a letter from Superintendent David Schmidt. He gives 3(only 3) “causes” for needing budget cuts:
1 - State mandated revenue limits.
2 - Transportation cost increases.
3 - Utility increases.
4 - Increases in teacher benefit packages
5 - Increases in teacher pay. (raises for taking extra college courses)
6 - Teacher’s union’s refusal to put students needs before union teachers needs.
7-thru-70- Pretty much everything in Lufters letter in the Freeman today. (Sorry, I can’t seem to link it.)

Wait, that’s more than 3. Oh yea….. huh, Schmidt's fax machine must have blanked out the rest. Here’s my question, will the Taxpayers Alliance against Everything be allowed “equal access”? What do you say “smoking Joe”, is your pal Schmidt “fair” as well as “concerned”?

Thanks Kramer, now look at what we have to deal with….

Look out people in Waukesha counties 24th district. Joe A Vitale may be your next rep. For a hint at where he stands, check out today’s “your views” section in the Freeman. Hay Joe, as for your “points”….
1 - We have paid, are paying, and will continue to pay. It’s called “Taxes”. DUH!
2 - I’m all for supporting our “future”, just not the teacher’s union’s pocket books. And by your logic, if you support the troops in Iraq, you're also against what congress is trying to do by cutting the funding, and you support the Pres 100%. (burn!)
3 - How much of this is due to the folks at the “Tax Payers Alliance Against Everything”? BOO-YAH!
4 - I’m all for paying for my kids future, just not the teachers benefit package.
5 - If you’re “concerned”, does that make you right?
6 - what’s your reference?
7 - “Tax Payers Alliance Against Everything”, sounds cool, where do I join?
8 - This is why every seat counts, in every election.
9 - Well, there is no point 9, I’m just on a roll.

Does “smoking Joe” blog?

Do you hear something?

What was that? Did you hear something? Is that thunder in the distance, maybe tanks on the move? Whatever it is, big spending Liberals won’t like it! Look out for an upcoming “piece” in the Freeman (?), written by the Taxpayers League chieftain, Lufter. I don’t know when, I don’t know how, (I’m not that connected) but I do know why. Cause our stinken taxes are too stinken high, that’s why!

Pinko protesters

I fully support every dumba** morons right to protest "the war". I also expect these same dumba** morons to accept the consequences of their actions. What ticked me off this weekend was Hanoi Janes' claim that she was vilified for her "speaking her mind"years ago. No you socialist pinko moron, you were being held accountable for the aid and comfort you gave the enemy during the Vietnam war. We gave ourselves for your right to protest, so protest away, fool. Cross the line and aid the enemy, and pay the consequences you moron.

The next prez?

I do not believe that our next President has made himself known just yet. He may by out there already, he just hasn't caught the medias eye. Good for him. Let the present bunch of fools cut each other up, than slide in for the kill.

Folkbums list

1-The Desert Flip-Flopper
2-The Yankee Adulterer
3-The Mormon Flip-Flopper
4-The Southern Adulterer
5-Kansas's Second Least-Popular Senator
6-The Texas Libertarian
7-Tommy!
8-Duncan Hunter
According to Folkbums R&R this is the Republican field for the Presidency (aside from Huckabee)......pretty funny! I don't have much to say on national politics, but this is an interesting look into the other sides views.

More on "the board"

If Mr. Dwyer wants to "restore" public faith in the county board, he should take the lead in Harandas attempts to make the board "more efficient". Revisit the "downsizing" thang. Make a real attempt to appear the "Conservative" leader. Stop acting like King Henry on his majestic throne and start acting like the "conservative" county board chairman of a "Conservative" county. Dang, I'm using the word conservative and its not even close to election time.
