Open invitation

This is an open invitation to all readers, writers, and "wanna-be's". There is a new blog in Waukesha, and it's open to all "part time" Waukesha/Waukesha county bloggers:

  • If you ever wanted to “blog” but you just weren’t sure how to do it

  • If setting up your own blog seemed a little daunting

  • If you ever felt like you weren’t a “good enough writer” to have your own blog (So wrong)

  • If you don’t have enough time to “keep up” a blog the way you'd like

  • If you’d like a site you can call your own, without all the headache

Join us at "Hobo Springs", where people like us can throw in our 2 cents, and still have time to play with the kids, catch some bluegill, or do the dishes. Send me an e-mail address so that we can set up your "membership" (that just means you can post), and we'll get the party started! I will be "monitoring" for content only (my kids read my posts), and ALL opinions are welcome. Contact me at dadman9@hotmail.com.

Zoo a-la-carte was cool

Rain, Edwardo's Stuffed Pizza (spinach), and Richard Marx, not a bad night at the zoo (last night). Lady dragged me kickin n screamin, but it was cool. Ol Rich still has a great voice. I haven't figured out how to upload(?) video clips yet otherwise you could hear for yourself.

Rappin Jarhead

Heard about this at Carrick Bend He's got the words for those of us who can't keep up, good stuff.

Sancho's just too darn sweet!

My doc tells me I'm just too darn sweet. I guess a blood sugar level of over 300 is no good, go figure. So now I have to cut down on the fried rice and tortillas, you can shoot me now. Cripes, with all the kids I have do you realize just how many Birthday cakes I'll have to miss out on?!?!

Been awhile

I almost forgot my "sign in", dang.

Jude this, Jude that..

Subject to change brings up the Jude trials (lots of security by the way) and mentions that "those of us who live squeaky clean lifestyles have little need to fear a beating from law enforcement". The law of averages confirms it. However the odds start to slide against you if you find yourself in any of the following situations:

  • you are on the Conservative side at an abortion protest - anyone remember Arreola?
  • you are beautifully brown, with more than a handful of beautifully brown friends in a McDonald's parking lot in front of a rooky cop with little or no crowd management training - you may get the business end of a handgun 2" from your nose. (yea I know, loitering, failure to disperse and all that, we were just kids hanging out after the South football game for cryin out loud.)

Me, I think the pigs should be handed over to Judes family members for 1/2 hour apiece. I'm just sayin

V.A. ban

Silent E reminds me about the V.A.'s banning of specific blogs. I guess I made the list too. It's not that the Gov. wants the workers to stop reading blogs, otherwise they just would have banned the reading of blogs, it's that the Gov doesn't want the workers commenting on said blogs. Dang, another source down! Well, actually I think they want potential sources down, humm, I wonder what changes are headed down the pike at the ol V.A...

I've seen it!!! The holy grail!!!

Out in Western Waukesha I have seen the holy grail of lawn care! The one I saw was yellow, it was working on it's own, and it was sweet! A large yellow lawn cutting version of that crazy automatic vacuum cleaner. Now, if I could only find an automatic leaf raker...

Waukesha 4th parade was pretty good!

There where however some disturbing sights......Kramers camp handed out candy bags to the kiddies......

EMPTY CANDY BAGS!!!!!! Nice going Slick. My kids all had the same thing to say...."CHEAP!" Oh, and Mr. Mayor graced us with his presence thank you very much. Still no tie.

Other than that it really was a cool parade this year, I got to talk with Darryl E (a friend), met up with some family, and enjoyed the sun. Happy 4th ya'll!

Scooter scoots, Folkbum freaks

Folkbum's got his feathers ruffled over Bush's amnesty for Scooter. Yea, I suppose Bush could have waited until the last hours of his presidency like a chickensh## and released the freaks and moneybags than. Oh well.

Gang loitering fiasco

Funny, some people are singing the praises of this gang loitering ban in Milwaukee. How long before these same people are calling for this ban to be abolished? Liberals can and do turn anything on the books against Conservatives, do you think this ban is going to be any different? I was busted under the racketeering law in 91 during an abortion protest. It made no legal sense, but the Liberal Judges did it anyway. Anyone who thinks we need more laws (laws that can be easily misused) to deal with an ongoing problem is allready exposed as too weak to use them.

Water Blogged

He's in the "neutral zone" for now until I get the scoop. Seems interesting though.

Again with the walls

Spring City suggests a wall at 124th to keep Milwaukee from invading Waukesha. Dude, too late! Milwaukians have been "getting their suburb on" for some time now. How long before the first hip-hop bar opens up downtown? Isn't there a jazz bar opening up? "hip-hop night" anyone?

Okay, 30 plus days is enough....

Hi Ya'll. I've had a little bit to say, but not much time/will power/energy (to type? I am a loser) to do any posting. But it's been so long, I'm starting to feel like "Troy Boy". Granted, his stuff is better. Any-hoo....

  • Bummerfest is on....big deal - I mean big bang.
  • Summers almost half way over and we haven't dropped a hook yet, now that's a real bummer.
  • Has Urkel posted yet?
  • Fiesta Waukesha went fine, anyone get a count on the undercovers? I didn't go this time.
  • My Job still drives me nuts, I'm thinking of starting a "something about Bob" section on the blog.....we'll see.
  • Aldi's had bread on sale for 5 cents last week, score! Panos (down town) had it on sale for just under 3 bucks. Yea, Aldi's is "inner city", but hay, if the price is right...

Later!

Call to service

"Our Nation is at war - our Corps is at war - fighting a determined enemy bent on terror and domination. Make no mistake, it is a war we must win! Success by the enemy will dramatically change the world as we know it, leaving a harsh environment for our children and grandchildren to endure." ...
Semper Fidelis,
James T. Conway
General, U.S. Marine Corps
Commandant of the Marine Corps

For our children and grandchildren, Semper Fi.

I know, I'm way behind....

  • On West "High" - this senior camp out has been going of for a few years, everyone knows about it (even about the goal post street blocking and drinking that happens annually), I blame the principle, the idiot teens and their parents.
  • On Mcbride - no surprise, it wasn't the "offensive" piece, it was the ratings
  • On the Doyle-I mean Dwyer raise - once a bully, always a bully, and bullies stick together (does Smokin Joe blog yet?), of course he'll get the raise. Oh yea, the Tax Slayers league had a blow by blow posting of that night, check it out
  • On downtown development - how soon before a "gangsta" club shows up?
  • On Belling/Sykes - who cares?

Hay Mcbride, get over it allready

Well. Mcbride got herself fired, and now she's blaming everyone but herself. Hey Jess, maybe you were fired because your just not that great, I don't know, just maybe. Instead of blaming everyone, why not learn from it? I know I know, just who the h### do I think I am? No one much, I don't write for the Freeman, I don't have my own radio show, I don't have a large cooperate blogging backer....I'm just a working stiff with a laptop, but I do know what I like. Here's a few suggestions for your future endeavors, as if you'd listen. (I'll pretend)

  1. cut your word usage in 1/2 (at least) - stick to the point
  2. learn some manners - you don't own the room
  3. get a grain of humbleness - a little goes a long way
  4. realize that you're just not that good - not to say you can't be, just realize that your connections don't make you "all that"

....am I wrong? Maybe, maybe.

More and more a liberal world

What's the deal? Everywhere I look I see a more and more liberal mindset. The libs are good for "the end justifies the means", "what you feel is more important than what is right". examples: Brett whines like a 4 year old girl who got the purple "my little pony" instead of the pink, Waukesha lets prisoners "visit" their sentence instead of serve it, Messmer doesn't regret helping West High get "high" because their scoring was "so high", and no one sees anything wrong with it. No one calls Brat on his whining, no one calls the Waukesha Correctional (rather "adjustment") system on basically giving prisoners a get out of jail card, no calls the West "high" chaperons on their allowing these kids to get their freak on. Why? because Brat is/was the best, because prisoners feelings matter more than their sentence, because kids will be kids. Oh yea, when the Republicans finally name their candidate, will their view on abortion really matter? Welcome to the brave new world, the flower child is king...great.

Happy Cinco de Kwanzaa everone!

Why "Cinco de Kwanzaa"? Cause it's basically a made up American holiday celebrated only by Mexican Americans associated with Government/Government funded agencies. Anyway, happy Cinco de Kwanzaa.
